Loosening The Bolts
This first picture shows the bumper bolts that the RBG bracket attaches to. The passenger side is shown. The top 2 bolts need to be loosened and the center bolt completely removed. (like the picture shows) The 2 bottom bolts are for the tow hitch. So if you don't have a factory hitch you won't have the lower bolts. Those lower bolts will hold the position of the rear bumper while the other bolts are loosened. If you don't have the lower 2 bolts, we'd recommend doing one side at a time to not loose the rear bumper adjustment.

Installing The Bracket
With the bolts loosened you are ready to install the the RBG brackets. Put the supplied washers on the bolts provided and then put the bolts into the bracket before putting the bracket into place. Due to clearance to the truck, the bolts would be very difficult to put in after the bracket is in place. Slide the bracket into the front bolt first and then up into the back bolt and put the removed bolt back in and tighten them all down.

The RBG Goes In Place
With the brackets on and everything tightened down you are ready to bolt on the Rear Bumper Guard. It's easier with two people. Lift the guard up into place, sliding the bolts through the holes in the plates and fastening them down with the nuts provided. Make sure the RBG is centered and doesn't hit the corners of the truck. The holes are elongated so there is room for adjustment before completely tightening the nuts.
